Uaru Cichlid – The Gentle Giant with Unique Charm
The Uaru Cichlid (Uaru amphiacanthoides), often nicknamed the “Triangle Cichlid”, is a peaceful and intelligent South American species that brings both beauty and personality to large freshwater aquariums. Native to the slow-moving blackwater rivers of the Amazon Basin, Uarus are admired for their distinctive oval body shape, velvety brown or olive coloration, and striking black triangular patch along the midsection.
