Tropical Supplies Membership Policy

Welcome to the Tropical Supplies Membership Programme!

Our optional memberships have been created for customers who would like to go the extra mile in supporting Tropical Supplies, an independent UK aquatic and reptile retailer.

By purchasing a membership, you agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Membership Options

We currently offer two optional paid membership plans:

Tropical Supplies Supporter

• £4.99 per month.

• 500 bonus loyalty points per month.

• An opportunity to support the continued development of Tropical Supplies.

Tropical Supplies Champion

• £9.99 per month.

• 2,000 bonus loyalty points per month.

• An opportunity to provide additional support towards the future of Tropical Supplies.

Memberships are entirely optional. Customers are not required to purchase a membership to shop with Tropical Supplies or participate in our free VIP Rewards programme.

2. Monthly Payments and Renewals

Memberships operate on a recurring monthly subscription basis.

By subscribing, you authorise recurring payments at the advertised membership price until your subscription is cancelled.

Payments are collected automatically through the payment method associated with your subscription.

The applicable renewal date and payment details will be provided during checkout or through your subscription management account.

Memberships remain active while the required subscription payments are successfully collected.

3. Membership Loyalty Points

Active members are eligible to receive their advertised monthly bonus loyalty points.

• Supporter: 500 bonus points per month.

• Champion: 2,000 bonus points per month.

Monthly bonus points are intended to be awarded once per successfully paid membership billing period.

Bonus points are credited to the customer account associated with the membership, subject to the operation of our loyalty programme.

Membership bonus points have the same redemption value as ordinary loyalty points, currently 1,000 points = £1 towards eligible purchases.

Bonus points cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred to another customer or sold.

Membership points are separate from the points earned through ordinary purchases.

If a payment fails, is refunded or is reversed, the corresponding membership bonus points may be withheld or reversed.

4. Free VIP Rewards Programme

Our free VIP Rewards programme operates separately from paid memberships.

Purchasing a Supporter or Champion membership does not automatically upgrade your Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum VIP tier.

Your VIP tier continues to be determined by qualifying spending under the rules of our free loyalty programme.

Members can continue earning ordinary loyalty points and progressing through the free VIP tiers as normal.

5. Cancelling Your Membership

You may cancel your membership at any time through the subscription management options provided, or by contacting Tropical Supplies for assistance.

Cancelling your membership prevents future recurring payments, provided the cancellation is completed before the next payment is processed.

Your membership benefits will normally remain active until the end of your current paid billing period.

No further membership bonus points will be awarded after the paid membership period ends.

Any loyalty points already validly credited to your account will remain available in accordance with our loyalty programme terms.

Cancelling a paid membership does not cancel your customer account or affect your eligibility for the free VIP Rewards programme.

6. Refunds and Consumer Rights

Membership payments are generally non-refundable for periods during which membership benefits have already been provided, except where a refund is required by applicable law.

UK consumers may have statutory cancellation rights when purchasing a subscription online, including a 14-day cancellation period where applicable.

Where services or digital benefits begin during that period at the customer's express request, any permitted deduction or payment will be handled in accordance with applicable consumer law.

Nothing in this policy limits or removes your statutory consumer rights.

If you believe a payment has been taken incorrectly, please contact us so we can investigate.

7. Future Membership Benefits

Our membership programme is still developing, and we hope to introduce additional benefits, rewards and opportunities in the future.

We have plenty of ideas we'd love to explore!

However, any potential future benefits are not guaranteed and do not form part of the current membership entitlement unless expressly confirmed by Tropical Supplies.

We reserve the right to introduce, change or discontinue optional membership benefits, subject to applicable consumer rights and any required notice.

8. Changes to Membership Prices or Terms

Tropical Supplies may update membership prices, benefits or programme terms from time to time.

Where a change materially affects an existing paid membership, we will provide appropriate advance notice and any cancellation options required by law.

Changes will not remove statutory consumer rights.

9. Misuse of the Membership Programme

Memberships are intended for genuine personal use by customers supporting Tropical Supplies.

We reserve the right to investigate suspected fraudulent activity, misuse of loyalty points, payment abuse or attempts to exploit the membership programme.

Where appropriate, we may suspend benefits or take other proportionate action, subject to applicable law and the customer's contractual rights.

10. Availability and Programme Closure

We hope to continue developing our memberships for many years to come.

However, Tropical Supplies may need to modify or discontinue the programme in the future.

If the paid membership programme is discontinued, affected members will receive appropriate notice and any refunds or remedies required by law.
