Tail Spot Pygmy Cory
Gastrodermus hastatus (formerly Corydoras hastatus)
The Tail Spot Pygmy Cory is a charming miniature South American catfish, instantly recognisable by its distinctive black spot at the base of the tail, surrounded by contrasting pale markings. Unlike many larger Corydoras species, these tiny fish spend much of their time swimming in the middle levels of the aquarium rather than remaining exclusively on the bottom.
Their peaceful nature, small adult size and fascinating shoaling behaviour make them a fantastic choice for mature planted aquariums and carefully selected nano communities.
