L310 Pleco – The Subtle and Hardy Rust-Toned Beauty
The L310 Pleco, believed to be a Peckoltia species or closely related genus, is a small and beautifully patterned pleco native to the Orinoco River system in South America. Known for its earthy, rusty-orange to brown coloration and dark, irregular striping or mottling, the L310 is a subtle stunner that blends naturally into planted or driftwood-rich aquariums.
Unlike many larger plecos, the L310 remains compact and peaceful, making it ideal for smaller community tanks. It appreciates plenty of hiding spaces, especially during daylight hours, and thrives in slightly acidic, well-oxygenated water. Though not a primary algae eater, it will graze on biofilm and benefits from a varied omnivorous diet.
