Peaceful. Fully compatible with all non-predatory marine fish and invertebrates such as clownfish, gobies, wrasses, tangs, and shrimp.
Reef Compatibility:
Reef-safe. Completely harmless to corals and most invertebrates. Excellent natural algae control.
Diet:
Herbivore – primarily feeds on algae films, diatoms, and biofilm on rocks and glass. Will also accept supplemental algae wafers or seaweed sheets if natural food is limited.
Water Parameters:
- Temperature: 24–27°C
- Salinity: 1.023–1.026 SG
- pH: 8.1–8.4
- Minimum Tank Size: 40L+

Easy – very hardy once acclimated. Requires stable water conditions and a mature tank with some natural algae growth.
Top Tip:
Provide rough rock surfaces for grazing. Supplement feeding in ultra-clean tanks to prevent starvation once natural algae is reduced.
