King Royal Pleco (L333) – Regal Stripes, Distinctive Style
The King Royal Pleco (L333) is a visually stunning species, known for its high-contrast black and white or golden-yellow striped pattern. With a bolder, more defined stripe pattern than its L066 cousin, this pleco brings a touch of royalty and wild elegance to any freshwater aquarium.
Originating from the fast-flowing Rio Xingu in Brazil, the L333 prefers a well-oxygenated environment with good water movement and plenty of hiding places such as caves and driftwood. It is an omnivore, thriving on a balanced diet of algae wafers, meaty sinking foods, and blanched vegetables. Peaceful by nature, it does well in community tanks but may show slight territorial behavior toward other bottom dwellers.
