The Exo Terra® Heat Guard Lamp Holder combines a reliable lamp holder with durable heat protection, making it the ultimate heat protection solution for terrariums. Featuring a heat- and UV-resistant ceramic socket, it securely holds a heat lamp, while the robust shade prevents your reptile from coming into direct contact with the heating element, increasing safety and reducing the risk of burns. Made from durable, high-quality materials for exceptional longevity and reliability.
The Heat Guard offers versatile installation options for light and/or heat sources in your terrarium, allowing you to optimally position them for your animals, for example, in a specific basking area. The heat- and UV-resistant E27 ceramic socket is suitable for intense or daytime basking spots, or night heat lamps up to 160 W. With a diameter of 14 cm and a height of 20.5 cm, the Heat Guard can accommodate lamps with a total length of up to 13.5 cm, including the E27 socket.
This versatile accessory, designed for quick installation and easy use, not only withstands high temperatures but also optimizes heat distribution, creating a safe and comfortable environment for your reptiles. The Heat Guard features ample space above the ceramic socket and a dedicated cable outlet. It fits seamlessly and without gaps against the terrarium cover, preventing animals from getting between the cover and the terrarium or becoming trapped inside.
The Heat Guard is equipped with a protective grille secured with two Phillips head screws, offering greater safety compared to spring-loaded or clip-on systems. The Heat Guard is designed so that the grille can be easily removed by loosening just two screws. This allows you to quickly and easily replace the lamp without having to remove the entire unit. The 5 mm spacing between the metal wires of the grille effectively prevents animals from climbing into the Heat Guard while ensuring that light and heat rays can pass unimpeded into the basking area.
The light can be easily switched on and off using the ON/OFF switch on the extra-long power cord (180 cm).
Holder for pet care lighting: May only be used for reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates in terrariums!
