Behavior: Peaceful, social schooling fish; best kept in schools of 6 or more to encourage natural schooling behavior and reduce stress. They are gentle and get along well with other non-aggressive species.
-
Tank Size: Minimum 30 gallons recommended for a school of Congo Tetras, though larger tanks are ideal for a more dynamic display and a healthier environment.
-
Water Parameters: Prefers slightly acidic to neutral water with a pH between 6.0 and 7.5, and temperatures ranging from 74°F to 82°F (23°C to 28°C). A gentle water flow simulates their natural river environment.
