Vietnamese Blue Beauty Snake (Orthriophis taeniurus callicyanous)

Habitat
Native to forests and mountainous regions of Vietnam and surrounding areas, this species thrives in a spacious, well-ventilated enclosure with both climbing and hiding opportunities.
- Enclosure: Large vivarium with both terrestrial and semi-arboreal features (minimum 4ft for adults)
- Substrate: Aspen, coco husk, or soil mix

- Warm side: 28–30°C
- Cool side: 22–24°C
- Humidity: Moderate (50–70%) with a humid hide for shedding
- Decor: Branches, cork bark, and multiple hides to encourage natural behaviour
Feeding
An enthusiastic feeder, the Blue Beauty Snake has a strong feeding response and grows quickly with proper nutrition.
- Diet: Appropriately sized mice or rats

- Adults: Every 7–10 days
- Always provide fresh water
General Care
While hardy, this species is best suited to keepers with some experience due to its speed and defensive nature when young.
