Blue Leg Hermit Crab (Clibanarius tricolor)
A small, hardy, and highly active clean-up crew member, the Blue Leg Hermit Crab is recognised by its bright blue legs and constant scavenging behaviour. Ideal for reef aquariums, it helps control algae and detritus while adding movement and personality to the tank.
Compatibility:
Peaceful. Safe with most community fish including clownfish, gobies, blennies, and tangs. Can be kept with other hermit crabs, though occasional shell disputes may occur.
Reef Compatibility:
Reef-safe. Harmless to corals and most invertebrates, making it perfect for reef systems.
Diet:
Omnivore/Scavenger – feeds on algae, detritus, leftover food, and organic waste. Will also accept sinking pellets or small meaty foods if needed.

- Temperature: 24–27°C
- Salinity: 1.023–1.026 SG
- pH: 8.1–8.4
