The Apistogramma agassizii “Fire Red” is one of the most dazzling dwarf cichlid variants available, showcasing vibrant shades of red, orange, and yellow across its body and fins. Native to the slow-moving streams and tributaries of the Amazon Basin, this compact cichlid thrives in well-structured aquariums with plenty of plants, driftwood, and caves.
Known for their intelligence and fascinating social behaviour, these fish make excellent centrepieces in community aquariums or species-specific setups. The males display the most intense colours, while females remain smaller with subtle highlights.
