Trochus / Turbo Snail (Trochus spp. / Turbo spp.)
A highly effective and hardy clean-up crew member, the Trochus / Turbo Snail is well known for its powerful algae-eating ability. With its sturdy shell and constant grazing behaviour, it plays a key role in keeping aquarium glass, rocks, and décor free from nuisance algae.

Peaceful. Safe with all community fish including clownfish, gobies, blennies, and tangs. Ideal for reef and invertebrate systems.
Reef Compatibility:
Reef-safe. Harmless to corals and other invertebrates, making it a must-have for reef aquariums.
Diet:
Herbivore – feeds on film algae, hair algae, and diatoms. May require supplemental feeding (algae wafers or seaweed) in very clean systems with limited natural algae growth.
Water Parameters:
- Temperature: 24–27°C
- Salinity: 1.023–1.026 SG
- pH: 8.1–8.4
- Minimum Tank Size: 40L
