Description
Naked Clownfish – Tank Bred Pair (Amphiprion ocellaris)
A unique and eye-catching variation of the classic Clownfish, the Naked Clownfish features a striking lack of the typical body stripes, showcasing smooth, clean coloration that really stands out in any aquarium. Our pairs are tank-bred, meaning they are hardy, disease-resistant, and better adapted to home reef systems.
Compatibility:
Peaceful but territorial with other clownfish. Perfect for reef and community tanks. Mixes well with gobies, blennies, firefish, tangs, and other peaceful species. Best kept as a bonded pair to observe natural clownfish behaviour.
Reef Compatibility:
Reef-safe. Can live comfortably with anemones and corals, making them ideal for live rock and reef setups.
Diet:
Omnivore – accepts marine flakes, pellets, frozen mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and chopped seafood. Feeding multiple times per day encourages vibrant health and colouring.
Water Parameters:
- Temperature: 24–27°C
- Salinity: 1.023–1.026 SG
- pH: 8.1–8.4
- Minimum Tank Size: 60L
Care Level:
Easy to Moderate – hardy, adaptable, and suitable for both beginners and experienced aquarists.
Top Tip:
Tank-bred pairs display stronger bonding and are less aggressive than wild-caught fish. Provide plenty of hiding spots and consider introducing a compatible anemone to encourage natural hosting behaviour.
