- Tank Size: Minimum 60 litres for a pair
- Diet: Carnivorous — quality micro pellets, frozen foods, and live foods such as brine shrimp, daphnia, and bloodworm
- Temperament: Generally peaceful but territorial during breeding
- Tank Setup: Fine sand substrate, driftwood, caves, leaf litter, and dense planting with subdued lighting
