Description
Blue Acara – Subtle Elegance and Peaceful Personality
The Blue Acara (Andinoacara pulcher) is a stunning and easygoing South American cichlid that combines vibrant coloration with a calm temperament. Its shimmering blue-green body, accented with metallic scales and subtle black markings, gives it a refined yet eye-catching appearance that suits both beginner and advanced aquarists.
Native to the slow-moving rivers of Venezuela and Trinidad, the Blue Acara thrives in well-decorated aquariums with soft substrates, driftwood, and live plants. Unlike many other cichlids, it is relatively peaceful and can coexist with a variety of tank mates in a community setting.
